Now Offering Fine Fescue- Spring 2025

Call for Availability

"Summit Valley Links Mixture" is our custom blend of low-growing fine fescue grasses, primarily used on low maintenance sites. It requires minimal care, tolerating low fertility and reduced irrigation, and often left uncut for a natural, "links" appearance; essentially, a grass mix well-suited to the challenging terrain of many sites.

Left uncut, this formula provides maintenance savings, erosion control, and adaptation under varying soil conditions.

Benefits:

  • Low maintenance needs due to the ability to be left uncut
  • Erosion control
  • Adapts to various soil conditions
  • Tolerant of shade and low fertility

Wide Range of Management:

This seed mix adapts to a wide range of management regimes. It is tolerant of shade, low fertility, and reduced irrigation for parks, home lawns, golf courses, roughs, roadsides, and utility turf.

Can Be Left Uncut:

Cutting heights should be maintained from 1.5 in. (4 cm) to uncut. The 8 lbs. (40 g) seeding rate, see below, will reduce early summer seedhead development where left uncut.

Low Fertility Requirements:

For optimum performance and stress tolerance, fertilize no more than 2 lbs. of nitrogen/1,000 .2 (10g/m2) per growing season with not more than 1 lbs. (0.45 kgs) of nitrogen or potash per application.
